"Why are there clips from live shows mixed in with short films and weekly series on your site?"

Because that is what we do around here. Our live shows are technologically unparalleled, our short films are something we do when we have the free time, and the weekly web shows are what we are focusing the most on right now. To make it easier on you, all the videos are grouped into projects in the Videos tab.

"I must be an idiot, what is a podcast?"
|
|
|
You are not an idiot, but you are a Luddite. A podcast is basically a way to get videos downloaded automatically onto your computer as they are released. All you need to do is subscribe to the podcast you want from a program like iTunes, Miro, FireAnt, etc, and the videos will download onto your computer whenever you want them to so you can watch them later. Podcasts are really just RSS feeds with video or audio embedded in them, so you may hear them called "webcasts", "netcasts", "feeds", or just "videos that you can get automatically for free without much effort at all. "I don't own an iPod, can i still get your podcasts?"

Of course you can. "Podcast" is just the generally accepted term for an RSS feed with videos in it.

"Are your live shows really 100% improvised?"
|
|
|
Our live shows are 100% improvised. Right down to technical aspects like video mixing, green screen backgrounds, on-screen text, and remote camera crew footage.

"How is it all possible?"
|
|
|
With talented actors, skilled tech crew, and a lot of hard work. If you think a show was staged, feel free to hang around after the show and ask questions. Or better yet, come to the next show!

"How can I see you perform live?"

We plan to take all of our shows on the road to various comedy festivals, but we are also available to perform at trade shows and corporate events. Please use our contact form to reach us if this is what you are looking to arrange.

We are always looking for people who are enthusiastic to join us, drop us a line through the contact form. You can also get in touch with the cast and crew of the AV Club on our forums.

Currently our performance spaces are provided by Westside Eclectic and IO West, but we are looking for a few corporate sponsors to partner up with. If you would like information about sponsoring the AV Club, please feel free to contact us.
