Derek Caldwell

While Alexander Payne was filming "The Election" in his hometown of Omaha, NE, Derek got the acting bug after being an extra on the movie and watching the magic of film making. He got involved in several theatre productions at the University of Nebraska but knew he needed to get to LA as soon as possible. Derek has been in LA for almost two years. He's had the lead in many independent films and theatre productions. Recently he's become a SAG member and is proud to be part of an elite union. Derek has also expanded his acting base to music videos. Helping produce and star in a Grasshopper Takeover video through CatFishJack productions . Derek has trained with the Improv Olympic group in Hollywood. He is currently studying with Diana Castle in Los Angeles, CA.  Most recently, Derek appears in the comedy series, Striker and Swat.
